Whenever I Fed Him, He Would Cry, Tears Streaming From His Sad Eyes
Under the scorching sun, a sick and exhausted dog named Arhat lay on the ground. Seeking shelter from the heat, he positioned himself close to the fence. According to the neighbors, he had been lying there for three weeks. Arhat was worn out from hunger and infested with ticks. Whenever I fed him, he would cry, tears streaming from his sad eyes. It was clear that his owner didn't appreciate his love and loyalty. We named him Arhat.
The day after that, we had an appointment with a surgeon. Blood was drawn, and X-rays were taken. The surgeon informed us that Arhat couldn't undergo surgery due to a congenital condition. The doctor recommended exercise to improve his ability to walk. Using a wheelchair for the first time, he exerted tremendous effort to make it move. In that moment, I wondered if there was still a chance.
Placing his food aside, I encouraged him to reach for it. This exercise would help strengthen his muscles. Tears welled up in my eyes as I witnessed his determination to move forward. After 10 months of hard work, Arhat regained the ability to walk. Those 10 months were filled with both smiles and tears, as the recovery process was arduous. But the results were undoubtedly worth it. Arhat accomplished the impossible and performed miracles. Now, he is a completely transformed, healthier, and more beautiful dog.
